Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties
- Pick orders for your run and ensure quality and orders being correct
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Load and unload items, ensuring all produce is secured during transit.
- Verify delivery details, including addresses and order accuracy, before departure.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients upon completion of each delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during every journey.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally with commercial driving expertise.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles.
- Excellent organisational skills to plan efficient routes and manage schedules effectively.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality at all times.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe transportation.
