Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Blue CPCS Telehandler Driver category A17E -telescopic handler with suspended load to join our construction team. This is a minimum of 2 weeks job.
Starting date: 10.08.2026
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers safely and efficiently on-site, assisting with material handling and site logistics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to a busy construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate CPCS-approved telehandlers to move, load, and unload materials across the construction site
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and site protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler before use, reporting any faults or issues
- Assist with the operation of excavators and other plant machinery as required
- Coordinate with site managers and other operatives to facilitate smooth workflow
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and daily inspections
- Follow all safety procedures to minimise risk on-site
Qualifications
- Valid BLUE CPCS Telehandler Licence (or equivalent) -A17E
- Proven experience in commercial driving within a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge, particularly related to plant machinery such as excavators and telehandlers
- Ability to operate excavators is desirable but not essential
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards on construction sites
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
