The Opportunity:
You will be a Support Developer within Ashurst Perkins Coie Labs, part of Advance Digital, working in cross-functional agile teams to design, build and support client-facing and internal digital solutions. The role includes a mix of day-to-day application support and development, and you will be encouraged to look for opportunities to automate and reduce the support overhead.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing application support for our key platforms and related business systems, including triaging incidents and service requests, investigating issues, and escalating complex items with clear context.
- Monitoring application performance, integration health, data quality and recurring issues, using logs, alerts and user feedback to support troubleshooting and identify improvement opportunities.
- Designing, developing and implementing custom applications using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
- Working closely with product managers, designers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, and contributing to user documentation, training sessions and knowledge sharing.
- Improving and maintaining solutions so they are scalable, maintainable and deployable, applying good engineering practices including testing, documentation and code reviews.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Glasgow office with hybrid working.

About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- A background in Software Engineering, Computer Science or IT, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a product support function, with demonstrable experience supporting business applications, including triaging user issues, investigating incidents, documenting fixes, and escalating complex issues with clear context.
- Confident coding ability in at least one programming language, with a willingness to learn our stack (.NET, TypeScript, Python, Power Platform and Azure) if not already familiar with it.
- Evidence they can deliver, whether through projects, placement/internship work, a GitHub profile/portfolio, or other work they can walk us through clearly.
