We are looking for a reliable and experienced cleaner to join our dedicated housekeeping team at Arts University Plymouth. Youll become an integral part of our vibrant community, supporting both staff and students while helping maintain a welcoming and clean environment throughout our dynamic campus.
About The Role:
As a cleaner, you will play a key role in ensuring our campus is clean, safe, and inviting for students, staff, and visitors. Your contributions will directly enhance the overall experience for everyone who uses our facilities. You will be responsible for:
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across campus buildings.
Using mechanical and electrical equipment, including wet and dry suction cleaners, scrubber dryers, and scrubber polishers, safely and effectively.
Adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding guidelines.
Ensuring the safe handling and use of cleaning products, in line with COSHH training.
Contributing to the creation of a safe and clean environment that supports teaching, learning, and working.
About You:
You will have:
Previous experience in general cleaning activities.
A strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Practical skills in carrying out a variety of cleaning tasks, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Numeracy skills and the ability to follow written instructions.
Basic IT skills, including the use of email and online fault reporting systems, or a willingness to learn.
A proactive attitude toward personal development, including participating in training to enhance your skills.
You will be able to:
Work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility.
Communicate effectively, both in person and via email, with strong customer care skills.
Be self-motivated and organised, managing your workload efficiently.
