Level 3 Fabricator

About the Role
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 Fabricator to join their skilled workshop team based in Burton upon Trent.
Working from detailed engineering drawings, you will manufacture bespoke stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium fabrications to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business, working on a variety of bespoke projects within a modern fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD designs.
- Fabricate stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components.
- Manufacture tanks, vessels, hoppers, skids and process pipework.
- Build access platforms, staircases, ladders and bespoke fabrications.
- Carry out cutting, drilling, bending, folding and assembly work.
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Work to production deadlines while maintaining excellent workmanship.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
- Work independently and as part of an experienced fabrication team.
- Assist with installation work on customer sites when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding or City & Guilds equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fabrication, welding or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong fabrication experience with stainless steel and mild steel.
- Skilled in both TIG and MIG welding.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable, hardworking and motivated.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills
- Coded welding qualifications.
- Mechanical fitting experience.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry.
- IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification.
- Confined Space Awareness.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
