As a growing and ambitious business, we are seeking an experienced and dependable Construction Multi-Trade Team Leader to help establish and develop our operations from the outset. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The position is primarily based at Longnor Hall, with additional work carried out across third-party sites as required. We are a dynamic organisation focused on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service.
The Role
The Construction Multi-Trade Team Leader will oversee and work alongside a team of skilled tradespeople, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a consistently high standard.
This is a practical leadership role requiring strong technical ability, organisation, and effective team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of multi-trade operatives
- Plan and allocate daily tasks to maximise productivity
- Carry out hands-on trade work (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling)
- Ensure all work meets company and industry standards
- Monitor quality and carry out regular site inspections
- Maintain and enforce health & safety compliance on site
- Liaise with Directors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Support the training and development of team members
- Complete job reports and site documentation accurately
About You
- Proven experience in a multi-trade construction role
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position
- Strong understanding of construction processes and health & safety regulations
- Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ or equivalent desirable)
- CSCS card (desirable)
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification (desirable)
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence
