Elmdale Care is opening a brand-new 3-bed therapeutic children's home in Loughborough and we're looking for an experienced Team Leader to help build something special from day one.
Supporting children and young people with EBD, Learning Disabilities, Autism, trauma, and complex needs, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and positive home environment.

Your Role
As Team Leader you will:
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home
- Mentor and support Residential Care Workers
- Build positive, therapeutic relationships with young people
- Undertake Key Worker responsibilities
- Support children with their emotional, social, behavioural and educational development
- Promote safeguarding and positive behaviour support
- Complete care planning, recording and risk assessments
- Work closely with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 1 years' experience in children's residential care
- Experience leading shifts or supporting staff
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Level 4 qualification or working towards
- Experience supporting children with EBD, Learning Disabilities or Autism
- Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Full UK Driving Licence

Opening a New Home Together
Successful candidates will take part in a structured onboarding programme before the home opens, including mandatory training, therapeutic practice training, team-building activities, and opportunities to help shape the culture and expectations of the service.
This is a unique opportunity to join the team before children move in and help build a positive, stable, and successful home from the very beginning.
