Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster and stucco to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring smooth, durable finishes that meet high standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal plaster adhesion.
- Mix plaster materials accurately according to project specifications for consistent application.
- Apply plaster or stucco using hand tools such as trowels, hawks, and floats to achieve smooth finishes.
- Use power tools like mixers and grinders to facilitate efficient material preparation and surface finishing.
- Install lath or other backing materials when necessary to support plaster application on various surfaces.
- Collaborate with bricklayers, masons, carpenters, and other trades to coordinate project workflows effectively.
- Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring finishes are even, free of cracks or blemishes, and meet safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastering, masonry, or related construction trades with a strong understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of bricklaying, roofing, welding, and carpentry techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different trades.
- Valid certifications in construction safety or relevant trade qualifications are a plus.
