We currently require a Junior Technical Engineer to support the design and technical department. This is an early career’s role where full training will be provided and you will learn our business from the ground up, learning valuable technical skills that will support your growth.
You will be working for a prestigious lighting company whose products can be found in some of the most prestigious buildings around the world.
Role and Responsibilities
You will supporting our technical team with:
· Maintaining lab procedures and processes.
· Track and manage testing requests and samples.
· Conduct photometric, thermal, and other tests to ensure that products meet all applicable standards and expectations to allow for worldwide market placement.
· Liaise with other departments to relay technical information in verbal and written forms.
· Create and amend product specification sheets and install guides using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
· Reformat product technical drawings in AutoCAD for use on product specification sheets, and online publications.
· Continue professional development by taking part in internal and external training courses relating to technical standards.
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for someone who will work with our growing team and provide the skills necessary to progress in their career.
· Good degree of computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD would be beneficial but not necessary.
· Work well autonomously, communicating effectively at each phase.
· Team player with a flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent project management skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
· High-quality communication skills.
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
