Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles to transport goods to various locations across the region.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Secure loads properly using appropriate equipment to prevent movement during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Follow all relevant road safety laws and company policies during operation.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout shifts.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current road regulations and safety standards in the UK.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
