Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 per year

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections on vehicles to ensure they meet safety, quality, and presentation standards before handover to customers.
This role requires previous automotive experience and a strong eye for detail. You will be expected to inspect, prepare, and complete minor adjustments on vehicles to ensure they are in excellent condition and ready for delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
- Check vehicles for mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues before delivery.
- Complete minor repairs, adjustments, and fault rectification where required.
- Ensure all vehicles meet road safety, manufacturer, and company standards.
- Inspect fluid levels, tyre pressures, battery condition, lights, brakes, and other key components.
- Identify and report any defects, damage, or missing items.
- Prepare vehicles to a high standard for customer handover.
- Complete relevant inspection paperwork and records accurately.
- Work efficiently to meet preparation and delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience is essential in vehicle inspection, vehicle preparation, automotive servicing, or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of vehicle mechanics and basic diagnostics.
- Ability to use workshop tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within a dealership, garage, or vehicle preparation centre.
- Familiarity with manufacturer pre-delivery inspection procedures.
- Basic computer skills for completing job records and reports.
