Chester Day Nursery are currently recruiting for a full time Senior Early Years' Educator.
Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room.
- Deliver outstanding learning and care for children aged 0–5 years.
- Plan and provide engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Monitor children's learning and development through observations, assessments, and planning.
- Support, motivate, and supervise your room team, acting as an excellent role model.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support every child's development.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, hygiene, and wellbeing.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained, including assessments, accident records, and medication records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive nursery culture.
About You
Essential:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 1 year's nursery experience, including Key Person responsibilities.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A caring, reliable and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid.
- Safeguarding, Food Hygiene or Manual Handling training.
- SENCO experience.
