Many of the pupils we support have experienced significant barriers to learning and may have lost confidence in education. Through consistent, tailored support, you'll help learners reconnect with learning, celebrate success, build resilience and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.
What you’ll do:
As one of our Tutors, you will:
- Support learners who may have: Challenging behaviour, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), Autism / ADHD, Anxiety or EBSNA (emotionally based school avoidance), SEND needs, Gaps in education or disrupted learning experiences.
- Deliver engaging and personalised face to face or online sessions tailored to each learner’s needs.
- Adapt learning to support each student’s academic progress while helping them re-engage with education and achieve positive educational outcomes.

About you:
We are seeking tutors who are:
- Skilled at building positive relationships with children and young people.
- Patient, resilient and creative in their teaching approach.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Able to motivate and re-engage learners who may have experienced barriers to education.
What You'll Need:
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience.
- Experience supporting young learners with SEND, SEMH or other additional needs.
- Experience delivering core curriculum subjects across relevant Key Stages in particular KS3 and KS4.
- Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to travel reliably in and around Ipswich. We are particularly interested in hearing from Tutors based in Ipswich, Lowestoft, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas.
