Job Title: Breakdown Recovery Controller

Job Description:
We are looking for a Breakdown Recovery Dispatch Controller to manage daily operations using our Apex recovery management system in office.
Please note that this role requires strong knowledge of the local area. Applicants must be familiar with which postcodes are allocated to specific areas and be capable of efficiently route-planning live incoming jobs for dispatch. For further details, please refer to the Experience section.
We are happy to provide some training with our current staff in regards to the recovery aspect however experience/ proficiency in constant route planning is a must.
Key duties include:
- Accepting, dispatching, and managing recovery jobs
- Handling inbound calls from customers
- Providing accurate ETAs and updates
- Managing the job process from start to finish
- Setting and managing customer expectations
Skills Required:
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to multitask
- Strong work ethic and teamwork
- Required to have sufficient area knowledge, 60 mile radius from Maidenhead
- General knowledge of motor vehicles
Working Hours and Compensation:
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Competitive pay aligned with industry standards.
Experience:
1+ year’s experience driving or transporting goods around our area is preferred, though a 1-week training period can be offered.
Experience in route planning throughout our operating area
REQUIRED: Familiarity with postcodes and areas such as London, and the wider western corridor covering Slough, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Reading, Newbury, and beyond.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
