Working alongside Specialist Teachers and Occupational Therapists, you will play an important role in delivering holistic, family-centred care while developing your own specialist interests within a supportive clinical environment.
About Words In Motion
Words In Motion is an independent multidisciplinary practice based in the beautiful Primrose Hill area of North London. We specialise in supporting children and young people with speech, language, communication, literacy, and learning needs.
Our practice is built on collaboration, clinical excellence, and meaningful relationships with families, schools, and other professionals.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and delivering high-quality assessment and intervention for children and young people aged approximately 2–18 years.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments using evidence-based assessment tools.
- Developing and delivering personalised therapy programmes.
- Supporting children with a range of needs, including:
- Speech Sound Disorders
- Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social Communication Difficulties
- Literacy and language-based learning difficulties
- Dyslexia
- Developmental delay
- Selective Mutism
- Preparing clear, high-quality assessment reports and therapy recommendations.
- Working closely with parents, schools, nurseries, and other professionals.
- Contributing to EHCP assessments and reports where appropriate.
- Participating in multidisciplinary discussions to provide holistic support.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
- Is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Has experience working with children and young people.
- Can confidently manage an independent caseload.
- Has excellent clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
- Enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Is passionate about providing outstanding, child-centred therapy.
- Has experience with autism, literacy, and neurodevelopmental differences (desirable).
