Duties
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring, and organizing ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Support the team with basic food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Prepare ingredients for daily menus, including portioning and storing per health regulations
- Help with dishwashing, waste disposal, and restocking supplies to keep the kitchen organized and hygienic
- Follow all food safety protocols diligently to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are upheld
- Serve as a helpful team member during meal service by supporting plating or delivery as needed
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and food preparation processes
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
- Experience with meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
