Norwich City Football Club is seeking to recruit a London Academy Scout on a casual basis to support the identification of talented players aged U13-U16 within London grassroots football.
Due to the ad hoc nature of the role, applicants must be based within the M25 and have a strong knowledge and connections within their local grassroots football network.
As a Category One Academy, Norwich City is committed to identifying and developing high-potential young players. This role is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in our recruitment programme by providing regular coverage of grassroots fixtures, identifying realistic Academy targets and producing high quality player reports.
Successful applicants will be paid an hourly rate and be enrolled onto the club’s scouting bonus programme to further reward high achievers.
Previous scouting experience (minimum one year) is desirable but not essential. More importantly we are looking for someone with an excellent knowledge of London grassroots football, established relationships with local clubs and coaches, and an ability to identify potential / talent.
Essential criteria:
- Excellent knowledge of London grassroots football
- Strong relationships within grassroots football in your area
- Self-motivated, organised and reliable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident using IT systems to complete reports
- Full UK driving licence
