We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Secondary Sports Coach to join a welcoming secondary school in Rhyl from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with coaching experience who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact both in and out of the classroom.
The Role
As a Secondary Sports Coach, you will:
- Support PE lessons alongside teaching staff.
- Encourage participation, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
- Promote positive behaviour and act as a positive role model.
- Support pupils with varying abilities to help them achieve their potential.
- Assist with extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures and school sporting events where required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience coaching sport with children or young people.
- A passion for physical education and promoting active lifestyles.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
- A recognised sports coaching or sports-related qualification is desirable but not essential.
