Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of construction projects, including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and more. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Support tradespeople with tasks involving hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
- Help with the installation of roofing, plastering, masonry, carpentry, and construction painting as required.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in fabrication and assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Carry out general labouring duties such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and assisting with site logistics.
- Support specialised tasks such as welding, electrical installations, plumbing work, or masonry when trained or instructed.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction-related activities is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment under supervision.
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy loads and working at heights if necessary.
- Basic understanding of schematics or technical drawings is a plus but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as roofing, welding, electrical work, plastering, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
