Rapid Precision Engineering
We are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join our aerospace engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and setting CNC turning machines to produce precision machined components to customer specification and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining instructions.
- Select and set appropriate tooling
- Carry out in-process inspection of components.
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and other inspection equipment.
- Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Work closely with the production and engineering team to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Skills & Experiences Required
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner within aerospace, precision engineering
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and machining tolerances.
- Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines.
- Good knowledge of cutting tools, cutting data.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
- Experience with Fanuc, other CNC controls
- Experience working with CNC lathes and multi-axis turning centres.
- Experience within an aerospace or AS9100 environment.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and the ability to edit programs at the machine.
- Experience machining a range of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and other engineering alloys.
