Rowlen Boiler Services is a growing heating and plumbing company based in Ewell, Surrey, providing boiler installations, repairs, servicing, heating and plumbing works across Surrey and South West London.
We're looking for an experienced and technically minded individual to join the business as our Operations & Technical Manager.
This is a key role within the company and an opportunity to work directly alongside the owner, helping oversee the day-to-day running of the business while supporting its continued growth.
The Role
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of boilers, heating systems and plumbing who can confidently support customers, engineers and office staff.
You will become the main technical point of contact within the business, handling quotations, technical enquiries, parts procurement, engineer support and customer follow-up.
This role is primarily office-based in Ewell, with occasional site visits to survey and price works when required.
The successful candidate will play an important part in helping improve efficiency, customer experience and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling technical customer enquiries and breakdown calls
- Providing customers with advice and guidance during emergency situations
- Producing quotations for boiler installations, repairs, heating upgrades and plumbing works
- Following up quotations and supporting conversion of new business opportunities
- Supporting engineers with technical queries and job planning
- Ordering parts, materials and equipment
- Managing supplier and manufacturer relationships
- Ensuring materials are ordered and delivered on time
- Supporting office staff with technical enquiries
- Attending site surveys when required
- Helping improve business systems and operational processes
- Working closely with the owner to support the growth of the business
About You
You will ideally come from a heating, plumbing or gas engineering background and be looking to move into a more senior operational role.
You should be:

- Commercially aware
- Confident using computers and software systems

Essential Requirements
- Experience within the heating, plumbing or gas industry
- Strong knowledge of boilers and domestic heating systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience
- Current or previous Gas Safe registration
- Experience pricing and quoting works
- Service management or operational experience
- Experience ordering parts and managing suppliers
- Experience using CRM or job management software
