Rehabilitation Assistant Opportunities
Location: Huddersfield
Hours: Full-time
We’re looking for vibrant, fun, and engaging individuals to join a dedicated support team for a young man who values independence, good humour, and being treated like the adult he is. Personality is key — he thrives on friendly banter, positive energy, and interactive support from people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
He has a traumatic brain injury and requires 1:1 support, including:
- Prompting and assistance with day-to-day activities
- Support with communication due to impaired speech
- Patience, understanding, and mature guidance
Although he is verbal, he takes time to express himself and needs someone who listens, waits, and communicates with respect. Due to the nature of his brain injury, calm, consistent, and thoughtful support is essential.
About Him
He’s an energetic and motivated young man with a strong passion for fitness and an active lifestyle, regularly attending the gym. Cooking and food play a big role in his routine, and he’d love support to explore new recipes and build confidence in the kitchen.
A keen football fan, he enjoys watching matches and proudly supports Manchester United with his family. He also loves holidays — especially caravan breaks — and takes pride in expressing himself through his favourite clothing brands.
Cars are another big interest, and learning to drive is an exciting future goal, usually accompanied by his favourite drum ’n’ bass or rap music. Supporting him means sharing in his interests, encouraging his ambitions, and becoming part of a vibrant, rewarding lifestyle.

- You hold a full UK driving licence (automatic vehicle provided; minimum age 21+ due to insurance requirements)
- You can work flexibly and build strong, positive relationships with both the individual and his family
The family is open-minded about background and experience — they’re simply looking for people who genuinely “click”, are reliable, and are committed to providing consistent, high-quality care.
