We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Addiction Therapist. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ substance use history, mental health status, and personal goals
- Develop personalized care plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s needs
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in IT systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical professionals, social workers, and family members—to ensure holistic care
- Educate clients about addiction processes, treatment options, and available community resources
- Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Addiction Therapist or in a similar mental health counseling role
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage clients from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency with IT systems for documenting care plans, progress notes, and treatment updates
- Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in addiction treatment and mental health support
- Ability to develop clear, actionable care plans that promote recovery and resilience
Nice-to-have qualifications include familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and experience working within multidisciplinary teams. A genuine passion for helping others on their path to recovery is essential for success in this role.
Pay: £20.00-£40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 16.0 per week
