Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:15pm
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of metal components while working to engineering drawings and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel and other materials as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare materials and components for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate welding equipment and associated fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Carry out basic maintenance and housekeeping of work areas and equipment.
- Work to production schedules and deadlines.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant welding qualifications are desirable but not essential.
