Preventative Maintenance Coordinator – Welfare Fleet

Liberty Guard (UK) Ltd is a leading supplier of mobile welfare and temporary accommodation units throughout the UK.
We are looking for an organised and proactive Preventative Maintenance Coordinator to manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across our welfare fleet.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering, fleet or maintenance background who enjoys planning, problem-solving and driving continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for coordinating Planned Preventative Maintenance activities across our welfare fleet, working closely with customers, field engineers and internal departments to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing initial fault diagnosis, troubleshooting and technical support prior to escalation.
- Develop and coordinate Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across the welfare fleet and associated equipment.
- Monitor asset performance, analyse maintenance data and identify trends to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection and compliance records within fleet management systems.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service teams, suppliers and contractors
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to coordinate maintenance activities and plan workloads.
- Manage maintenance stock and spare parts to support efficient fleet operations.
- Support and guide maintenance personnel in preventative maintenance best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities and maintain operational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet availability, safety and operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
- Experience within fleet, plant, welfare accommodation, temporary accommodation or equipment maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of solar-powered systems, heating systems, generators, inverters and associated equipment.
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance principles.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to lead, support and motivate engineering and operational teams.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance, safety and customer service.
- A proactive mindset focused on preventing failures rather than reacting to them.

Pay: £33,500.00-£35,000.00 per year
