Here at Q-Park we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team, on a 6-month, fixed term basis.
The successful candidate will support the transaction finance departments across sales ledger, cashiers and purchase ledger, in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures whilst ensuring the quality and completeness of financial information. Reporting to the Head of Sales Ledger, the role will also support the cashier’s team and purchase ledger teams in achieving great customer service and efficient finance processes.
You will be working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday from our Head Office within Leeds city centre, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day a week.

Key Accountabilities
- Setting up new clients, producing invoices, setting up new Direct Debits and actioning collection of Direct Debits.
- Handling and resolving customer enquiries via telephone and email, remote access to parking equipment to assist the customer journey, ensuring all communications are recorded and updated.
- Checking VAT has been included on invoices and providing creditors with VAT receipts.
- Assisting the Sales ledger Team Leader in all aspects of income control and management and assisting in ensuring income is recorded correctly.
- Interaction with the group’s suppliers, landlords and local councils.
- Posting of journals in relation to credit card / merchant services
- Support with sample requests through the groups audit process
- Ensure that all information is supplied on time and accurately.
- Maintain electronic filing systems.
- Chasing invoices from suppliers / landlords for tax receipts/queries
- Review of supplier statements
- Assist within other areas of the business/finance team when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Good working knowledge of financial procedures and legal requirements.
- Financial & commercial awareness with great analytical skills.
- Good team player with the right attitude
- Experience of dealing with customers and being part of a customer journey.
- Previous experience working for a multi-site business with a Group reporting structure, would be ideal
- Good communications skills, the ability to explain financial information and requirements to others and to interact with many levels.
- Great systems experience and a confident user of MS Excel.
- Flexible approach and ability to prioritise workload whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to organise own workload and maintain a high degree of organisation and attention to detail.
- Working with databases / Navision
