Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week. Mon-Fri Term Time Only As per FS requirements

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role involves supporting the daily activities within the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, and fostering their development through engaging play and educational experiences.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, including toys and equipment.
- Observe children's behaviour and development, providing feedback to senior staff as necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is required.
- Level 3 CCLD required.
- Strong leadership skills to manage small groups of children effectively.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive engaging activities that support children's growth.
- Experience in managing children's behaviour positively and constructively.
