About the Role:
Carey Glass Chester is seeking dedicated and reliable General Operatives to join our team in our glass processing facility. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality glass products while adhering to safety and quality standards. You will work within a collaborative team environment, meeting daily production targets while ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Department Manager or Line Leader, following their guidance and direction.
- Ensure all glass products are processed safely, efficiently, and meet the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Strictly adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSOWs), safety protocols, and quality procedures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Experience in the glass industry (e.g., hand cutting, obscures, fan holes) is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from Line Leaders and Managers.
- Flexibility to work overtime and various shifts when required.
- A strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
