The Role
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. This is a broad, hands-on role covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and payroll. You'll play a key part in keeping our day-to-day finances accurate and running smoothly, with real opportunity to develop your skills as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments
- Manage accounts receivable, including raising sales invoices, chasing outstanding payments, and reconciling customer accounts
- Review, process, and reconcile employee expense claims in line with company policy
- Support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records in Xero
- Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely, professional manner
- Assist with credit control and cash flow monitoring
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks
- Help identify and implement improvements to accounts processes as the business grows
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years' experience in an accounts administration or similar finance role
- Hands-on experience using Xero (essential)
- Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers, customers, and colleagues
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude and willingness to get stuck in as part of a small team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Office
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
