What You’ll Be Doing
· Preparing statutory accounts from client records using cloud accounting platforms and software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Online
· Producing draft corporation tax computations
· Responding to queries raised by Accounts and Tax Managers during the review process
· Finalising accounts and corporation tax computations following client meetings and review feedback
· Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a point of contact for day-to-day queries
What We’re Looking For
Essential
· AAT Level 4 qualified
· Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses
· Recent experience working within an accountancy practice environment
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
· Excellent client service skills and a professional approach
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Confidence communicating with clients face-to-face, over the phone and via email
· Excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
· A proactive approach to problem solving
· Ability and willingness to travel to client sites when required
Nice to Have
· Experience using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks Online and Iris
· Exposure to specialist sectors, charities or legal professional clients
· Experience supporting or coaching junior colleagues
