Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant
Location: Clitheroe and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Contract Type: Temporary (with opportunities to secure a permanent role)
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £18.35 per hour (dependant on qualifications & experience etc)
About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Clitheroe and the surrounding areas.

Job Description:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide whole-class, small group and 1:1 support where required.
- Help create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
- Support children with varying learning abilities and additional needs.
- Encourage children’s confidence, independence and participation.
- Promote positive behaviour and follow the school’s behaviour policies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Must Have:
- Right to Work in the UK.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Child Workforce on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Professional experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach to work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- The ability to reliably commute to Clitheroe and the surrounding areas.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- A relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 is desirable but not essential).
- Experience delivering interventions or supporting small group learning.
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Confidence working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of school environments.
