Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our busy team in Crawley. This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse duties with customer deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately picking and packing orders, managing stock, loading and unloading deliveries, and safely delivering goods to customers across the South East and London. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Duties
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload deliveries safely.
- Carry out stock checks and maintain stock accuracy.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe.
- Support general warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Operate a forklift where required.
Delivery Duties
- Drive company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver products to customers.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring safe handling at all times.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all documentation correctly.
- Communicate effectively with customers, warehouse staff, and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Adhere to all road traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Confidently navigate London and surrounding areas, including congestion charge and ULEZ zones.
What We're Looking For
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Forklift licence (required).
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Previous delivery driving experience is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
