Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management and care planning, particularly for those with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalised care and support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor clients' health and behaviour, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant observations.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Skills
- Strong case management skills with the ability to develop effective care plans.
- Experience in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Proficient in first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and the ability to provide specialised support.
- Experience compassion during end-of-life care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
