Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Store Manager to join one of our very busy Stores (ie Barking, Barkingside, Brentwood, Chingford, Elm Park, Green Lane, Harold Hill, Hornchurch, Ilford, Loughton, Romford, Upminster and Wanstead). As a Retail Store Manager your primary responsibility is to maximise income generation and ensure all targets are met and exceeded leading a team of staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Retail Regional Manager to understand the requirements to ensure a successful operation.
- Responsible for the smooth running of the store in accordance with company guidelines Deliver annual store financial and contribution targets.
- Deliver against store KPI's.
- Lead and develop your team.
- Recruitment and selection of new team members and volunteers for the store
- Visual merchandising the store, maximising all opportunities.
- Driving new business into the store and liaising with the local community
- Be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and health & safety of the shop.
Requirements
- Previous Store Manager experience within charity or retail.
- Have the ability to engage customers through outstanding customer service and visual merchandising skills.
- KPI aware and driven by data to make commercial decisions.
- Experience of working to targets in a customer focused environment.
- Energy, drive and a positive can-do attitude.
- Flexible to cover store opening hours and weekends.
- Proven track record of successful delivery of a high growth, profitable operation.
- An understanding of charity retail would be a distinct advantage and a passion for the charity sector.
