Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and adherence to food safety standards
- Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu items
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and best practices
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and optimize efficiency during busy hours
- Serve as a role model for hospitality excellence by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of sushi and Japanese cuisine
- Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage team dynamics in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of hospitality principles, including serving guests with professionalism and warmth
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in food production
