We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in early childhood education, ensuring a nurturing and educational environment for children. This role requires effective communication with staff, parents, and children, as well as the ability to manage various aspects of nursery operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for children, staff, and families.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
- Collaborate with local authorities and educational bodies to ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare management is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to drive initiatives that promote children's welfare and development.
- A passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning in children.
