Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Level 3 Mechanic with extensive experience within a garage environment. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required for repair or replacement
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including welding and equipment repair tasks where necessary
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify issues accurately
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle or piece of equipment
- Assist in the organisation of workshop activities to ensure smooth workflow
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when handling heavy components or machinery
- Ensure all workshop safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Provide own tools to use
Experience
- Proven experience as a Level 3 Mechanic within a garage or similar automotive environment for at least 2 years
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex faults effectively
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and assembly instructions
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools
- Experience in vehicle assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair processes
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for various vehicle types and machinery
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and task management
- Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently under pressure
