Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff, ensuring exceptional service standards, and maintaining food safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Manage the organisation of food production, including plating, presentation, and timely delivery of dishes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations across all areas of operation.
- Assist in training staff on proper food handling, safety procedures, and customer service protocols.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste and optimise resources.
- Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain a clean, organised work environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality experiences that reflect the organisation’s standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in both food presentation and service delivery.
- Relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications are advantageous but not essential if accompanied by substantial practical experience.
- A professional attitude combined with excellent communication skills suitable for diverse teams and guests.
