Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm

Plant Fitter – Mobile Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Plant Fitter to join an award-winning team covering the Reading area.
This is a mobile role, where you'll travel to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of plant machinery.
With a £47,840 basic salary, realistic OTE of £60,000, overtime at 1.5x and a fully equipped company van, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plant Fitter looking for a long-term career.
The Role
As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you'll be responsible for keeping customers' machinery operational and responding to breakdowns across the area.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out major and minor repairs on a range of plant machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and regular inspections
- Carrying out PDI work on new equipment
- Setting up and fitting attachments
- Attending breakdowns and getting machinery back into operation quickly
- Maintaining your company van, tools and equipment
- Completing service reports, paperwork and warranty claims
- Working closely with customers, sales and workshop teams
About You
We're looking for an experienced Plant Fitter who is confident working independently on customer sites.
You'll need:
- Level 3 qualification in Plant Machinery, Vehicle Maintenance or a related discipline (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)
- Previous experience working as a Plant Fitter, Plant Technician or similar
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A full UK driving licence
