Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our burial grounds.
This is a varied role that combines administration with customer service. You’ll be a key point of contact for families and support the existing team.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate funeral records and issue post–funeral documentation.
· Produce customer invoices using Xero.
· Provide a warm, professional first point of contact by phone, email and in person, supporting families through their enquiries through to booking.
· Record customer interactions and maintain customer records using Hubspot.
· Managing the memorial plaque process, including creating the proofs and layouts, placing orders, tracking delivery and coordination placement on site.
· Assist with general office administration to support he wider team as required.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
· Previous administrative or customer service experience.
· Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
· The ability to work independently while also enjoying being part of a small team.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· A flexible and proactive approach, with a willingness to support different aspects of the business.
· A high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
· A calm, compassionate and professional manner when supporting bereaved families.
· Funeral industry experience is not necessarily required.
