Employing approximately 30–50 people. Most employees work on site, enabling HR to provide visible, accessible and responsive support to employees and managers.
HR Administrator
The HR Administrator will provide accurate, efficient and confidential administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
Working closely with the HR Manager, the role will help ensure that HR records, recruitment activities, onboarding, employee communications and routine people processes are completed consistently and on time.
This is a varied junior HR role suited to someone who is organised, approachable and interested in developing their HR knowledge and experience. They will be supported by the HR Manager and will have regular management catch-ups, including weekly sessions alternating between the HR Manager and Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emails received in the HR Inbox
- Answer the HR phone, recruitment and absence lines
- Update and maintain HR files both paper and electronic
- Maintain accurate information trackers
- Assist hiring managers with all aspects of recruitment including scheduling interviews
- Complete the onboarding processes for new starters
- Support line managers with probation administration including tracking SMART objectives and annual review deadlines
- Monitor and support line managers on absence triggers and return-to-work documentation
- Administer employee change and pay review paperwork
- Liaise with Payroll
- Support HR meetings with minutes, record of conversation records and HR projects
- Support the HR Manager with HR Audits
- Process leavers, leaver paperwork and references as requested
- Escalate formal disciplinary, grievance, capability, complex absence and legal matters rather than advising independently.
- Undertake other duties as required by the HR Manager
Qualifications
- A minimum GCSE C grade (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- CIPD Level 3, working towards CIPD Level 3, or relevant practical experience within an HR administration role.
