Primary Purpose: To support the efficient movement and control of materials, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods across multiple company sites and to external customers and supplier. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate stock movements, safe and timely deliveries, effective document control, and providing operational support to Despatch and Finishing teams to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
· Complete a designated daily route between multiple company locations and suppliers, ensuring all deliveries and stock movements are completed accurately and on time.
· Safely load, transport, and unload goods, ensuring all items are protected and transported in accordance with safety requirements.
· Carry out customer deliveries as required.
· Adapt to alternative routes and transport requirements to meet business needs.
· Support the administration and ongoing maintenance of the delivery schedule, ensuring transport activities are planned, organised, and completed efficiently.
· Liaise with appropriate colleagues to update delivery schedules and communicate any changes or delays.
· Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
· Ensure fuel levels, mileage records, and vehicle checks are accurately recorded in line with company procedures.
· Take responsibility for the safe operation and care of company vehicles, ensuring they are maintained in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition at all times.
· Follow company document control procedures, ensuring all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
· Obtain customer signatures on delivery notes where required and ensure signed documents are returned promptly and reliably in accordance with company procedures.
· Follow all road traffic legislation and company health and safety procedures.
· Support the Despatch and Finishing departments with operational activities when required.
· Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and colleagues.
· Assist with other warehouse or logistics duties as reasonably required.
Person Specification
Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
- Previous van driving or delivery experience.
- Good knowledge of road safety and driving regulations.
- Good understanding of safe handling and movement of materials and goods.
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and organised.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading goods where required.
- Forklift Licence
