Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Head Tractor Driver to join our team at Kingsdown Farm in Wiltshire. This vital role involves operating and maintaining farm machinery to support our agricultural operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage Fendt tractors and heavy machinery to support daily farming activities to include primary cultivations, drilling, Fertilizing, Baling
- Maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support related to cattle management.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of farm machinery.
- Collaborate with farm staff to plan and execute planting, harvesting, and other field operations.
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during all operations.
- Keep detailed records of equipment use and maintenance activities.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience operating large agricultural machinery, especially Fendt tractors.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs.
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting and outdoor work.
- Knowledge of Welding and farm maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Record-keeping.
