About the Role
We are looking for Installation Operatives to join our team installing road traffic signs, posts, street name plates and other street furniture to the required standards.
You must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Experience or tickets for Mini Digger, Streetworks, IPAF, HGV or Hiab are advantageous. Training and opportunities to gain additional tickets are available.
Hours & Overtime
- Monday–Friday, 42.5 hours per week
- Occasional overnight stays and night work by prior agreement
- Overtime: 1.5x Monday–Saturday and 2x Sunday
Key Responsibilities
- Work in teams of 2–3 to install signage safely and to client specifications
- Load, unload and secure vehicles, tools and materials
- Carry out excavation and installation works using appropriate equipment
- Operate machinery only where trained and authorised
- Complete CAT & Genny scans before digging
- Set up traffic management in line with Chapter 8 requirements where required
- Complete site inductions, risk assessments and daily paperwork
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, mileage and fuel reporting
- Keep vehicles, tools and work areas clean, safe and organised
- Report accidents, incidents, near misses, cable strikes and equipment/vehicle faults
- Follow all company health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Support the Supervisor and wider team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
