We are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technicians to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and keeping vehicles safe, reliable and performing at their best.
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs, and maintaining a range of vehicles and equipment. Working as part of a professional and supportive team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills while working with modern tools, equipment and repair techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, technical information and schematics.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
- Complete routine maintenance including oil and filter changes, brake inspections, tyre rotations, fluid checks and replacements.
- Identify worn, damaged or faulty components and carry out repairs or replacements as required.
- Use a range of hand tools, power tools, workshop equipment and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Carry out inspections and equipment repairs to ensure vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and operational.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, workshop procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing and parts used.
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues regarding vehicle faults, repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Support the wider team with workshop and equipment-related tasks when required.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or in a similar mechanical role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical experience working on vehicles or machinery.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair procedures.
- A good understanding of vehicle safety and workshop health and safety practices.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A professional attitude with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to carry out physical workshop duties safely, including manual handling where required.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with vehicle electrical and diagnostic systems.
- Experience working with complex electrical or mechanical schematics.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Relevant automotive or mechanical qualifications, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI.
- Previous experience working with commercial vehicles, specialist vehicles, plant or machinery.

Pay: £34,500.00-£50,000.00 per year
