Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the restaurant industry, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences, with a keen eye for detail and a positive attitude. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcome upon arrival
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximise guest satisfaction and sales
- Process payments accurately using POS systems
- Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and resetting areas for new guests
- Support bar staff with drink preparation when required
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating arrangements effectively
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Basic food preparation skills and understanding of culinary practices are desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and colleagues
- Upselling techniques to enhance guest experience while increasing sales

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
