Logistiq Global Ltd is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Road Freight Operations Coordinator to join our growing operations team.
The role focuses on dedicated road transport, same-day deliveries, express deliveries, and full-load (FTL) movements across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will manage transport jobs from enquiry through to completion, ensuring exceptional customer service while maximising profitability through effective supplier management and rate negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage dedicated road transport movements from booking through to delivery.
- Coordinate same-day, express, urgent, and full-load (FTL) shipments.
- Liaise daily with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and drivers.
- Source vehicles and negotiate competitive rates with transport providers.
- Provide quotations and transport solutions to customers.
- Monitor live deliveries and proactively manage any service issues.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, providing shipment updates and delivery confirmations.
- Ensure all jobs are accurately entered and managed within company systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and transport suppliers.
- Maximise gross profit through effective buying and selling practices.
- Support business growth through outstanding customer service and account development.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within transport operations, road freight, same-day courier, express logistics, haulage, or freight forwarding.
- Good understanding of UK road transport operations.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and general computer systems.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Training & Development
- While previous experience within transport, logistics, road freight, same-day courier, or haulage operations is desirable, full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Pay: From £29,500.00 per year
