Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Chef/KP to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the kitchen team with basic food production tasks to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations diligently to uphold health standards
- Supervise junior staff and trainees where applicable, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Contribute to the efficient running of the kitchen during busy service periods
- Assist with serving food and beverages as required during service hours
- Support inventory management by helping with stock checks and storage procedures
Skills
- Previous experience or familiarity with kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong interest in culinary arts, food production, and hospitality industry practices
- Good organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Leadership qualities with potential supervisory experience or aspirations to develop such skills
