Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential care home. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within a residential setting for children and young people. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while ensuring the highest standards of care for our young person's whom are at the forefront of the company.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality care is delivered consistently.
- Oversee the administration of medication and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, ensuring a person-centred approach.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare providers.
- Ensure that all staff are trained in best practices for senior care, including dementia care techniques.
- Handle any incidents or complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
Skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams within a care home setting, including complying to all regulations within the care industry.
- Strong understanding of assisted living principles and dementia care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to administer medication safely and understand relevant health regulations.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality care for seniors.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Experience in developing care plans that meet the diverse needs of residents.
