We are looking for dependable and safety-conscious Minibus Drivers who take pride in providing a safe, reliable and friendly service for children and families in our community.
About the Role
You will safely transport children and young people between home and school using one of our well-maintained company minibuses.
This is a Monday to Friday split-shift role during school term time only, covering morning and afternoon school runs.
Drivers will normally have regular allocated routes. However, you may occasionally be required to cover alternative routes or support other school transport services when there is a business need.
Where suitable, drivers may be able to take the company minibus home, allowing them to start their duties directly from their allocated route area.
There is no weekend or evening work.
This role is ideal for retired bus or coach drivers, experienced D1 licence holders, or anyone looking for reliable, term-time-only work with regular weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport children and young people to and from school.
- Follow allocated routes and schedules with excellent punctuality.
- Carry out AM and PM vehicle checks, complete online inspection forms and report any issues promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.
- Drive safely and professionally while following safeguarding and company procedures.
- Be flexible to support alternative routes when required.
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday split shifts during term time.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Previous minibus, school transport or passenger transport experience.
